International traineeship

One of the special characteristics of the Danish vocational college system is that the programmes are structured as an interplay between school and companies. The aim is to combine the best of both worlds so that solid theoretical knowledge is translated into practical experience. In Denmark, this system has worked through several generations but the development means that young people have gained a bigger interest in seeking challenges further away. At Viden Djurs, we have a big focus on international collaborations, and we make an active effort to support our students in relation to their studies abroad, this includes helping them find international traineeships.

Assuming the task of teaching a trainee from another country might seem difficult at first, but the Danish state has done a lot to simplify the procedure and has established several subsidy schemes to help young people cover the extra expenses in connection with their stays abroad. At Viden Djurs, we also have several colleagues who are ready and able to assist with all the practical preparations and approvals.
