Automobiles, Planes, and Other Vehicles
The vocational education and training programmes’ basic course in Automobiles, Planes, and Other Vehicles leads to programmes in which students learn to maintain and repair different kinds of engines and vehicles. Students will learn fault detection and how to use the many kinds of specialty tools.
Most of the work is done in garages but fault detection and repairs can also take place on site with the customer e.g. when it comes to construction equipment and agricultural machinery.
During the programme, students will obtain basic knowledge about automobiles and trucks, their engines, brakes, and different kinds of automatics and electronics.
Students will learn about the electronic systems and acquire a thorough knowledge about the different kinds of engines, brakes, air conditioning systems etc. Students will also learn about safety equipment and gain concrete experience with repairs and maintenance of the multiple parts.
Students will learn about fault detection and how to repair and adjust motors, brakes, clutches, and steering mechanisms. Students will acquire knowledge of both petrol and diesel engines and the different kinds of brake systems and safety systems.
